Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of year in many cultures around the world. Essential oils have been used to improve health and well-being long before we had scientific knowledge to explain its efficacy. It’s not hard to imagine how people thought about essential oils and their benefits long before we had the scientific knowledge that backs up those ideas today.

I'd like to start by saying that an aromatherapy consultation is not a fancy term for just making a blend of oils and giving it to someone with a sniff. They're about helping you to feel good in every aspect of your life. My goal is to help you identify what your body needs, and in what ways, so that I can make a custom blend that fits your physical needs. Because everyone's body chemistry is different, there are countless ways an essence could affect you: relieving stress headaches, providing deep relaxation, or easing pain from arthritis or migraines. It's important to me that my consultations are more than just making a good smelling blend—they're about helping you feel good in every aspect of life.

What’s too often forgotten is that aromatherapy doesn’t just mean adding some scent to your life—it also refers to a holistic treatment that uses different oils with their individual purposes and effects. Some can be good for pain management, some for relaxation while others are better for revving you up before an important meeting, which is why one of the most popular methods of aromatherapy is to choose an oil based on its specific properties and effects.

When you're feeling under the weather, you want to get back to feeling like yourself as soon as possible. If you mention you're having trouble sleeping or that a particular food doesn't agree with you, or that your skin is irritated, I'll ask how long it's been going on, what seems to make it better or worse, and what I can do about it. I'll work out a blend of essential oils that is tailored just for your needs, and then I'll show you how to use it so that it can become part of your everyday routine. I can also suggest products that complement your new aromatherapy regimen.
